"Our common multicultural future in Europe via our own cultural heritage" is the title of our Erasmus + project. The five countries involved in the project, Greece, Finland, Spain, Cyprus and Czech Republic will collaborate for two years to get the students accept our multicultural reality and learn they belong to Europe and not just to a part of it.
The project turns around a game called "Know Europe through its main figures" played at each Learning Teaching Training meeting. Among a wide range of relevant figures and facts, we have chosen the following: Aristotle as the cornerstone in the beginning of formal logic, Cervantes and the archetype of the Quixote as universal character, Czech Republic for the music that travels around the world for centuries, Nokia as the representative of technological revolution in late twentieth century and finally Cyprus as the only divided country in Europe. In addition, the students´ll work on activities to learn the most important aspects of the participating countries and the host schools at each meeting.
Using new methodologies as gamification or collaborative work and new technologies as QR codes and augmented reality, we want to encourage our students to learn more about our multicultural European reality taking into account our common heritage.
We are sure it will be a fantastic experience!
