The second meeting of our Erasmus+ project has taken place in Espoo, Finland. Mankkaan Koulu organized a week full of activities for teachers and students from Spain, Cyprus, Greece and Czech Republic. We have all learned something new, but the most rewarding experience was meeting nice people from very different places and working together.
We visited the headquarters of Nokia in Espoo where we realized how important this company has been for the industrialization and development of the area. The visit to Heureka museum combined the fun aspect and the scientific knowledge. At Altoo University we all learnt about art and science and discovered that both disciplines are much closer than we thought.
It has been very interesting to know about the social and economic conditions that have made the education in Finland one of the best in the world.
Teachers and students will keep a great memory of the hospitality of the host country. We have learned from each other and we made new friends. The distance between the European citizens is shorter thanks to programs like this. The experience has been very enriching for all. This is Europe.
